By Zoila Palma: Prime Minister John Briceño is celebrating 33 years of service as the Area Representative for Orange Walk Central, marking more than three decades of representing the constituency in the National Assembly.
Prime Minister Briceño reflected on his years in public office, describing them as a journey filled with “countless memories” and guided by “one unwavering commitment to Orange Walk Central.”
He also expressed gratitude to constituents for their continued confidence and support throughout his political career.
“It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve you,” Briceño said, thanking residents for the trust they have placed in him over the past 33 years.
Briceño was first elected as the Area Representative for Orange Walk Central in 1993 and has remained one of Belize’s longest-serving elected officials.
Throughout his career, he has held several senior government positions and currently serves as Prime Minister, while continuing to represent the people of Orange Walk Central in the House of Representatives.
