By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Premier League of Belize (PLB) is gearing up for the decisive second leg of the semifinals this weekend.
The second leg matches will be crucial in determining who advances to the finals. Verdes will host the San Pedro Pirates at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen on Saturday, November 23, at 7:30 pm, while Port Layola will do likewise with Progresso at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex in Belize City on Sunday, November 24, at 4:00 pm.
Defending champions Port Layola have taken a significant step towards the finals with a 4-2 victory over Progresso in the first leg, while league leading Verdes and San Pedro Pirates played to a 1-1 draw at Ambergris Stadium in their semifinal clash.
