Patricia Chavarria of the Chavarria Cycling Team has emerged as one of the top women cyclists capturing three major titles in just over three months. Her latest triumph came on Sunday at the BTB September Criterium in Belize City, where she claimed 1st place in the Elite Women’s category, adding to a growing list of victories that began with her June win in the Women’s Individual Time Trial (ITT) at the Belize Cycling Road Championship.
Chavarria’s ITT victory in June showed her solo strength and precision, earning her the national title in one of the sport’s most demanding formats. She reaffirmed that performance with a commanding win at the Miguel Brothers Cycling Race on September 8, and again at the BTB September Criterium on September 14.

Her recent wins were not just personal achievements—they were family affairs. At the Miguel Brothers event, Patricia’s brother Derrick Chavarria won the Elite Men’s race, while her sister Paulita Chavarria joined her on the podium in third place. At the BTB Criterium, Derrick placed second in the Men’s Elite category, and Paulita finished fourth in the Women’s Open. The Chavarria Cycling Team has become a symbol of excellence and unity in Belizean cycling.
With three major wins under her belt, Patricia Chavarria is having a standout season.
