The Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) First Division Opening Season 2025–26 continues on Sunday evening with the second semifinal at the Louisiana Football Field, where San Jose Pumas FC defend a 3–1 advantage against Louisiana FC. The decisive match kicks off at 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026, and entrance is $7.00.
San Jose Pumas arrive in a strong position after a commanding first-leg performance last Sunday. Tournament top scorer Justin Cardenas struck twice—finding the net in the 25th and 49th minutes—before Giancarlo Moralez added a third in the 61st. Louisiana FC kept themselves in contention through a 52nd-minute goal by Emil Carlos, but they now face the challenge of overturning a two-goal deficit.
Cardenas, who leads all scorers this season with 10 goals, remains the focal point of the Pumas’ attack. Moralez’s creativity and finishing give San Jose Pumas additional firepower as they look to secure their place in the championship final.
Louisiana FC, however, will not be short on motivation. With home-field support and the urgency of knockout football, they will push for an early breakthrough to shift the momentum and keep their season alive.
The stage is set for a high-stakes showdown as San Jose Pumas aim to close out the tie, while Louisiana FC fight to extend their run in the OWFA First Division Opening Season 2025–26.
