Out on bail for burglary, 50-year-old mother sent to prison for crack pipe

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 50-year-old Belize City woman, who was out on bail for a charge of burglary, has been remanded to prison after she picked up a charge for a crack pipe.

Kervisha Harris appeared in court on Friday on a single charge of possession of a drug utensil. She pleaded not guilty but bail was denied to her.

Harris was out on bail for a burglary charge but a bench warrant had been issued for her arrest because she had not been showing up to her court dates. She was remanded to prison until her next court date on May 21.
