By Horace Palacio: A man has been arrested and charged after allegedly trespassing and throwing a stone at a woman in San Estevan Village, Orange Walk District, police said.
The victim reported that on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at around 7:30 p.m., she was at home with her two daughters when she opened the back door and saw a man standing six feet away.
She confronted the man, asking him who gave him permission to enter her yard. Instead of responding, he allegedly picked up a stone and threw it at her, but missed before fleeing the scene.
Police later detained the suspect, and on March 5, 2025, officers obtained a warrant and formally arrested and charged him with Aggravated Assault and Trespassing.
Authorities say the suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.
