By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Defending champions Yo Creek United FC powered their way into the Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) Opening Season Tournament Final with a commanding 5–2 victory over Progresso FC in Semifinals – Leg Two, played on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Louisiana Football Field in Orange Walk. The result sealed a 6–3 aggregate win for Yo Creek.
Yo Creek entered the second leg after a 1–1 draw in the first match and immediately seized momentum. An early attacking sequence in the 11th minute forced Progresso defender Edward Reid into an own goal, giving Yo Creek the ideal start.
Progresso briefly pulled level when Mark Bainton struck in the 44th minute, but Yo Creek responded with a dominant offensive display. Jaeden Dominguez scored in the 43rd minute and again at 90+2. Liam Reyes added a 50th‑minute finish, Axel Alamilla extended the lead in the 61st, and Alexis Hernandez made it 5–1 in the 84th minute.
With the emphatic win, Yo Creek United advance to the OWFA Opening Season Tournament Final, set for Sunday, January 25, 2025, at the Louisiana Football Field — a final that will once again feature Yo Creek United vs San Jose Pumas, the same matchup as the last tournament.
