Orange Walk FA Group B: Progresso, San Estevan light up Week 5

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Group B teams brought attacking firepower to Week 5 of the OWFA First Division Tournament, with Progresso FC and San Estevan Soccer Team both netting six goals in their respective victories. San Jose Pumas also claimed bragging rights in the San Jose Derby.

Saturday, November 1

San Estevan Soccer Team 6–2 OW Santa Cruz FC 

San Estevan opened the weekend with a 6–2 win over OW Santa Cruz. Kaydrawn Cadle (4’) and Diego Chan (9’) gave them an early lead, while Michael Cruz (68’, 70’), Hamid Pren (71’), and Byron Marroquin (89’) sealed the result. OW Santa Cruz responded through Andres Ramos (44’) and Giovanni Ramirez (84’).

Sunday, November 2

Progresso FC 6–0 Crystal FC 

Progresso FC continued their unbeaten run with a 6–0 demolition of Crystal FC. Mark Bainton led the scoring with a hat-trick (28’, 45’, 55’), supported by Calvin Thurton (14’, 41’) and Dylan Belisle (28’).

San Jose Pumas FC 1–0 San Jose FC 

In the San Jose Derby, San Jose Pumas edged their rivals 1–0 thanks to a 34th-minute goal by Dyland Robateau.
