On-line Lecture: “US Intervention in the Southern Caribbean”

An on-line meeting hosted by University College London (UCL) Institute of the Americas’ Caribbean Seminar Series will feature speaker David Abdulah, leader of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) in Trinidad and Tobago and an executive member of the Assembly of Caribbean People, who will discuss “US Intervention in the Southern Caribbean” on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 5:30pm (GMT).

This event is free and open to the public, but attendees will need to register in advance at Meeting Registration – Zoom.

Steve Cushion explains “We are aware that this clashes with an important meeting in Warwick. Please register anyway if you are interested and we shall send you the link to the recording.”

David Abdulah has been a fierce critic of the US intervention in the Southern Caribbean and the accompanying threats against Venezuela. Following the recent killing of two Trinidadian citizens in a US airstrike, he has called on Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to withdraw statements that the continued strikes are an attack on narco- trafficking.
