The Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Investment, through the Investment Policy and Compliance Unit (IPCU), and in collaboration with the Belize Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Association, were granted funding by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to implement its project, “Pilot Project and Policy for Higher-Tier Global Digital Services from Belize.” This training project falls under the IDB’s Economic Growth in the Caribbean programme, designed to identify and finance innovative solutions that help to unleash private investment in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The project is offering 50 spaces to Belizeans countrywide from November 12 to December 19, 2025. Participants will receive training in essential skills to succeed in the Global Digital Services (GDS) environment.
Training Details:
- Dates: November 12 – December 19, 2025
- Delivery: Hybrid format – weekly evening virtual sessions and a five-day, face-to-face training, both conducted via a Learning Management System
- Face-to-Face Bootcamp: November 24 – 28, 2025
- Location: Belize City
Training tracks are available at entry, intermediate, or advanced levels, with a catalogue of programmes including:
- Cloud Engineering
- Cybersecurity
- Data Analytics and Reporting
- IT Helpdesk Support & CRM Integration/Management
- AI Readiness
- Web Design and Development
- Agile and Scrum Project Management
- Digital Marketing
These training courses are provided free of cost to BPO workers of any age, as well as to students in fourth form, junior college, and university levels. These courses were designed to be up-to-date and highly relevant to evolving industry conditions, and all interested persons are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. The training will be undertaken by a consortium of digital trainers, including UK-based Rhics Ltd., Belize-based Chamberlain Consulting Ltd., and Socias Ltd.
