By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB) today introduced its newly elected Executive Members. The new leadership team includes:
President: Sis. Ella Waight
Second Vice President: Bro. Clifford Martinez
Assistant General Secretary: Sis. Ayona Shantell Ramirez
Assistant Treasurer: Bro. Shane Reneau
Trustee: Bro. Luis Luke Martinez
Director of Gender Affairs: Sis. Trisha Perez
Treasurer: Sis. Jaqueline Medrano-Cruz
These newly elected members will join the current Executive, which includes:
First Vice President: Bro. Jorge Mejia
General Secretary: Bro. Phillip Tate
Auditor: Sis. Sharon Fraser
Councillor: Bro. Karim Thompson
Trustee: Bro. Roy Briceno
The NTUCB also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Executive Committee Officers for their dedicated service and contributions to the union’s growth and progress.
The new Executive was introduced during the NTUCB’s 58th Annual General Meeting held on December 7th and 8th, 2024, at the Good Stays Conference Room in San Ignacio Town, Cayo District. This year’s meeting was held under the theme “NTUCB: Empowering Workers, Building Solidarity.”
