By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A Yo Creek businessman has requested court action after his vehicle was reportedly vandalized with a whisky bottle on Christmas evening.

The 51-year-old complainant visited the police station at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 25, to report an incident involving his white Ford F-150 pickup. According to the report, his 23-year-old son was driving the vehicle on Agriculture Road around 5:25 p.m. when the incident occurred.

Reports indicate that while the son was navigating a narrow stretch of the road, a man identified as Rene Hernandez was standing on the right-hand side. Hernandez, described as tall and slim with tattoos and an afro-style haircut, was allegedly holding a Johnny Walker whisky bottle at the time.

Witnesses say that for no apparent reason, Hernandez used the whisky bottle to strike the right rear-view mirror of the truck, causing it to shatter completely.

The damage to the mirror is estimated at $500.00 BZ. Police have recorded a formal statement and are currently seeking Rene Hernandez for the offense of Damage to Property.
