By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have issued a Notice of Intended Prosecution to a female pickup driver following a fatal traffic accident in Red Bank Village that claimed the life of 59-year-old Nerry Campbell.
The collision occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 5.
Police say Campbell was travelling on a motorcycle and was turning onto the Red Bank Road when a collision occurred with a pickup truck.
Campbell sustained serious injuries and was taken for medical treatment but succumbed shortly after 1:00 p.m.
Public reporting identified Campbell as a Guatemalan labourer living in Red Bank Village and identified the pickup as a Toyota Tundra driven by 30-year-old Deidra Jackson of Silk Grass. The collision reportedly occurred at the junction of Red Bank Road and the Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway.
Police have since issued Jackson a Notice of Intended Prosecution as the investigation continues.
