By Aaron Humes: Nine lucky winners from across Belize have each secured a substantial share of the Belize Government Lotteries Limited’s Million Dollar year-end jackpot, with the winning number being 4485. Each winner will receive $111,111.11 following the draw held at noon today, Saturday.
The jackpot marks the second annual giveaway by the BGLL, which has enjoyed considerable success in its first two years, generating millions in profits. This year, the excitement peaked with contestants participating through various platforms, including, for the first time, the Fi We Boledo app and website, in addition to traditional ticket sales from sub-agents across the country.
Winners who purchased their tickets via the online platform can redeem their prizes through bank transfers, provided they have set up their banking details on their Mobile Account Information. Those who bought tickets from sub-agents are invited to visit the Belize Government Lotteries Ltd. office in Belmopan, located at 11223 Hummingbird Highway, to claim their winnings. In a published public notice, the BGLL cautioned winners to present a valid Social Security Card or passport, along with the winning ticket that features a fully legible Ticket Number and QR code.
The lottery office will be open for prize redemption during the holiday season: Monday, December 22 & Tuesday, December 23 – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Wednesday, December 24 – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; Thursday, December 25 – CLOSED; Friday, December 26 – CLOSED; Monday, December 29 & Tuesday, December 30 – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Wednesday, December 31 – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; Thursday, January 1 – CLOSED; Friday, January 2 – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
