Nimrod Tillett faces extradition hearing in June – he is now being represented by English barrister Tim Prudhoe of Turks and Caicos Islands

By Aaron Humes: Nimrod Tilett Catzim is wanted in Mexico for femicide in the murder of a female who was his girlfriend. He faces extradition but has been unrepresented, claiming no one wanted to take his case given his status.

Tillett has beaten two separate murder charges among other criminal offenses.

But his new attorney, English barrister Tim Prudhoe of Turks and Caicos Islands law firm Stanbrook Prudhoe, appeared with him before Chief Magistrate Jayani Wegodapola to take over his legal representation.

The recent shooting victim also took the opportunity to complain to the court that his pain medication is not available at the Central Prison.

The Chief Magistrate ordered that the defense is to submit to the court in writing their submissions by May 5 while the Attorney General, who is being represented by Stacey Martinez is to respond and make their submissions in writing by May 30.

Arguments in the case will be heard on June 5.
