By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): What began as a social night out ended in a nightmare for a 27-year-old man in the Las Flores area of Belmopan early Wednesday morning.
Police are currently hunting a suspect following a report of rape. The victim told investigators he left a party around 1:00 a.m. with a male acquaintance, stopping briefly for beers. The situation turned violent when the companion allegedly threw the man to the ground and dragged him behind a building.
In a secluded area out of sight, the victim was reportedly sexually assaulted and raped. Belmopan police are treating the case with high priority as they move to apprehend the suspect, who is known to the victim.
