By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Bermuda’s Nicholas Narraway etched his name into Caribbean cycling history on Saturday, winning the Elite Men’s Individual Time Trial at the 2025 Caribbean Elite Road Cycling Championship on the Burrell Boom-Hattieville Road, Belize District. Narraway completed the 32.5-kilometer course in 39 minutes and 25.0 seconds (39:25).

His compatriot and defending champion Conor White had to settle for silver this year, finishing just behind in 40:12. The Bermuda duo’s 1–2 finish shows the island’s dominance in the discipline and its continued investment in elite cycling development.

Belize’s Cory Williams Holds Strong

Belize’s Cory Williams, last year’s bronze medallist, delivered a solid ride to finish fourth overall in 41:44. Though he dropped one spot from his 2024 podium finish, Williams remains a consistent force in Caribbean cycling and a key figure in Belize’s national squad.

With Sunday’s road race looming, Narraway and White will aim to extend Bermuda’s medal haul, while Williams and Chavarria look to capitalize on home support and push for podium finishes.
