Newly refurbished San Antonio police sub station re-opened

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On September 5, 2024, the Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries and the Belize Police Department held a re-opening ceremony for the San Antonio Village (Police) sub-station.

Present for the ceremony were the Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries Kareem Musa, Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise Alex Balona, Acting Commissioner of Police, Dr. Richard Rosada, Deputy Western Regional Commander, Crispin Castillo, Supt., Officer Commanding the San Ignacio, the Santa Elena (Police) Formation, Cesar Franco, San Antonio Village Chairman Aaron Tzib, and other invited dignitaries.

In their remarks, they all expressed the importance of the re-opening of the substation and the impact that it will have on the community and the surrounding villages.
