By Zoila Palma: Newly crowned Miss Universe Belize 2025, Isabella Zabaneh, has shared a heartfelt tribute to outgoing queen Halima Hoy, expressing deep gratitude for her guidance, inspiration, and legacy.
In a touching public message, Zabaneh acknowledged the impact of Hoy’s reign, calling her “the perfect representation of a queen whose shoes will be big to fill.”
Zabaneh reflected on her admiration for Hoy throughout the past year, revealing that Hoy’s win inspired her to fully commit to the Miss Universe journey.
“When you won last year, I decided that without a shadow of a doubt, I would give my all to ensure you’d place the Black Orchid Crown on my head,” she wrote.
Zabaneh also credited the former queen for leading with poise, strength, and authenticity — qualities that she hopes to carry forward during her own reign.
