Newcastle keen to bolster forward line with Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Newcastle hope to bolster their forward options by signing Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The 27-year-old has 12 months left on his contract and although signing a new deal has not been completely ruled out it is understood that the likelier scenario is the striker leaving Goodison Park this summer.

Newcastle, who could sell Callum Wilson and want to provide competition for Alexander Isak, have been interested in Calvert-Lewin for a while and are keen to push ahead with a move for the England international. Everton will not want to lose him on a free next year.
