By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa indicated that thanks to the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, the Government of Belize will soon have ground breaking for police stations in communities across the country.
“We have again, thanks CABEI we are going to be having a groundbreaking in several parts of the country starting I believe, first in San Narcisio in the Corozal district. We have a substation going on Chetumal Street. We have a full police station coming in Caye Caulker. A full police station in San Ignacio, Santa Elena. In Bella Vista. We have a substation and then, of course, an administrative building in Belmopan,” Musa said.
Although the announcement for the location of the police station in Santa Elena Town is yet to be announced, sources say it may be on the La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena.
Minister Musa says that the groundbreaking ceremonies are all expected to be this year.
