By Zoila Palma: Minister of Foreign Affairs Francis Fonseca said that 4 new Belize embassies will open soon.
Minister Fonseca said that Belize is looking at opening embassies soon in Geneva and Panama.
“We are planning to open, an embassy in Geneva. We want to open one in Panama, in 2026. And certainly we’re looking at, the Middle East. We’re looking at about three different countries where we’d have to choose one for a greater presence, for a presence in the Middle East. And then also Africa, those would be our top 4 priorities in terms of embassy openings moving forward,” Minister Fonseca explained.
Minister Fonseca says that the opening of the new embassies would be between 2026 and 2027.
