Nazarene High School, St John’s College represent Central Region in National Secondary Schools Sports Association Softball Championships on Friday, Saturday in San Narciso, Corozal

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The National Secondary Schools Sports Association Softball Championships will be held in San Narciso in the Corozal District. Bishop Martin High School of the Northern Region will be hosting this year’s two-day boys and girls tournaments. 

Last Saturday, St John’s College (SJC) boys and Nazarene High School girls won the right to represent the Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) as they both defeated the EP Yorke teams 15-5 with the mercy rule applied in the third inning.

Ladyville Technical girls won the Northern Sports Teacher’s Association (NSTA) championship in San Pedro on Saturday. The boys final between San Pedro High School and Orange Walk Technical High School had to be postponed due to darkness and is being played on Tuesday at Rogers Stadium in Belize City.

Schools from the South and West are also competing in the National Tournaments.
