By Zoila Palma: The National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB) is inviting all Belizeans to protest BTL’s proposed acquisition of Smart.
“We all have an investment in Social Security. Without sufficient information, without public consultation, without proper legislation, we can’t support the acquisition of SMART by BTL.
Who is NTUCB? You, us, them, me and all a we!
Take a stand now before we lose the chance to,” NTUCB said.
NTUCB is staging a protest tomorrow at 8am in front of the Social Security office in Belize City.
The Social Security Board is a significant shareholder in BTL and the unions are urging the board to oppose the proposed acquisition.
