By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB) has elected its new executive team.
The new executive consists of First Vice President, Jorge Mejia; General Secretary, Phillip Tate; Treasurer, Shane Reneau; Auditor, Sharon Fraser; Councillor, Karim Thompson; and Trustee, Roy Briceno.
The newly elected members will serve alongside existing Executive members including, President, Luke Martinez; Second Vice president, Miguel Aguilar; Assistant General Secretary, Marvin Mora; Assistant Treasurer, Jose Escaper; Trustee, Jaqueline Medrano-Cruz; Director of Education, Trisha Perez; and Director of Gender Affairs, Ella Waight.
The new Executive members were elected at the NTUCB’s 57th annual general meeting, which was held in Orange Walk Town on December 2nd and 3rd under the theme: “NTUCB: Empowering Workers, Strengthening Communities. Resilience in Change.”
