By Zoila Palma: Today, Minister Francis Fonseca, in his capacity as Chairman of the National Celebrations Commission (NCC), along with members of the NCC Secretariat, today received generous contributions from Digi, Our National Telecom, and Belize Water Services Limited (BWSL).
The NCC noted that these contributions will directly support this year’s National Celebrations.
On behalf of Digi, Minister Fonseca met with Ivan Tesecum, Chief Executive Officer, while for BWSL he was received by Cornelio Acosta, Chairman.
Both representatives conveyed their enthusiasm in partnering with the National Celebrations Commission and reffirmed their commitment to celebrate Belize’s rich culture, heritage, and independence.
Minister Fonseca expressed his gratitude for the timely contributions and spoke on the importance of collaboration between national institutions and the public sector in these celebrations.
He noted with pride that two of the country’s nationally-owned utility companies are once again demonstrating their support for these celebrations, thus ensuring that they can be enjoyed by Belizeans all over.
