By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The 2025 National Amateur Inter-District Championship (NAIC) reaches its climax this Saturday, August 23, as Yo Creek United FC and Tut Bay FC face off in the second and final leg of the national amateur final at 6:00 pm at the Football Federation of Belize Stadium in Belmopan.
Yo Creek United, representing Orange Walk, enter the decisive match with a two-goal cushion after defeating Belize City’s Tut Bay 4–2 in the first leg on August 16. The northern side surged ahead through a brace each from Liam Reyes (5’, 35’) and Nazim Aldana (14’, 67’), showcasing a potent attack that Tut Bay struggled to contain.
Tut Bay FC, however, remain in contention. Calvin Thurton scored in the 52nd minute, and Ken Galvez added a late goal in the 85th to keep the Belize City squad within striking distance. With the aggregate score at 4–2, Tut Bay must win by at least three goals to claim the title outright or by two to force extra time.

For Yo Creek United, a win would seal their first NAIC title. For Tut Bay, it’s a chance to overturn the deficit and etch their name in the amateur football annals.
The final promises intensity, pride, and a showcase of grassroots football talent. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.
