Murder of Roy Burgess linked to domestic dispute; woman also injured

By Aaron Humes: Police are seeking one suspect in the weekend murder of Roy Burgess, which they have linked to an apparent domestic dispute.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division, told reporters today that Burgess and a 26-year-old woman were in a vehicle parked on the Placencia Road when one person came up and opened fire on them, killing Burgess and injuring the woman.

According to police, they were not aware of any prior domestic complaints but they have established that Burgess and his fellow target were having an affair.
