Murder in Stann Creek: Man shot dead in Santa Cruz village

By Aaron Humes: The body of Kevin Joel Garcia Pena, 27, from Santa Cruz, Stann Creek District, was found early Saturday morning with fatal gunshot injuries in a yard in the village.

According to police, on Friday night Garcia was seen walking on a street near his house when he was approached by a man dressed in full black who was armed with what appears to be a handgun. Shortly thereafter about four gun shots were heard.

Police are now investigating.
