Muffles College continue dominant run, beat Gwen Liz 7-0  in the National Secondary Schools Sports Association Boys Football Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Muffles College continued their dominant run thrashing Gwen Lizarraga High School 7-0 thrashing of Gwen Liz on Day 2 of the National Secondary Schools Sports Association Boys Football Championship at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga on Friday.

Keydenshaay Bowen scored a hat trick in the 24’, 32’, and 50’ minutes to lead Muffles to a resounding victory over Gwen Liz who paid the price for the overexertion in Thursday night’s 3-2 comeback win over Delille Academy. Bowen now leads all goalscorers with seven as he scored four on Thursday in Muffles 6-1 win ove Belmopan Baptist High School.

Bryce Lawrence (59’), Noel Perez (72’), Diegio Chan (90’) and Miguel Pren (90′ +4) scored the other goals to complete the resounding 7-0 victory.

Muffles totalled six points and for all intents and purposes, have secured the championship considering their goal difference stands at 13-1. Even if they lose to Delille on Friday and Gwen Liz beat Belmopan Baptist, it’s highly improbable that they can surpass the Muffles’ goal advantage.

In the other Friday match, Delille Academy beat Belmopan Baptist High School 3-1.

The tournament concludes on Saturday with Muffles facing Delille at 11:00 am and Belmopan Baptist playing against Gwen Liz at 3:00 pm.
