By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A motorcyclist sustained minor injuries following a road traffic accident on San Lorenzo Road, Orange Walk involving a sudden evasive maneuver to avoid a collision.
Police reports indicate that the incident occurred when a 20-year-old male rider was traveling along San Lorenzo Road on a black Suzuki motorcycle bearing license plate MC-6076. While in motion, a vehicle reportedly emerged suddenly onto the roadway.
In an attempt to avoid colliding with the vehicle, the rider applied his brakes abruptly, lost control of the motorcycle, and fell off. As a result of the fall, he sustained a scratch to his right elbow.
Police say the motorcyclist declined police assistance at the scene, stating that he did not require further intervention. No major injuries were reported.
