By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police responded to a road traffic accident (RTA) on January 24 between miles 63 and 64 on the Philip Goldson Highway in San Jose Village, which left a motorcyclist injured.
Upon arrival, police observed a Ford Escape SUV with license plate CZL C28428 parked on the highway facing toward San Pablo Village, with damage to the right rear bumper.
Initial investigations revealed that Elin Erin Reymundo was driving the SUV from Orange Walk Town toward San Pablo Village when he came to a stop due to a minor traffic accident ahead.
While the SUV was stationary, a Jiyo motorcycle with license plate OWM 02352, driven by Luis Ack, collided into the right rear portion of the SUV, causing the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle.
Ack was transported by ambulance to the Northern Regional Hospital, where he was issued a medico-legal form after being observed with a cut wound to the left heel, abrasions to the right foot, and abrasions to the left hand.
Police took measurements at the scene, and Scenes of Crime (SOC) personnel processed the area. Investigations continue.
