By Breaking Belize News Staff: Reports indicate that a group of motorcycle riders have obtained a permit to protest next week.
The riders are upset over the proposed $300 motorcycle training fee and the new regulations governing motorcycle licensing for owners and operators.
However, Transport CEO Chester Williams confirmed that the legislation will be followed through and cited the benefits of the proposed measures.
Williams said that the Ministry is open to making adjustments but the measures are necessary to curb accidents.
But, motorcycle riders that this is an additional financial burden and cycles are used by many as their only mode of transportation to and from work.
