By Aaron Humes: Moses “Shyne” Barrow, the Leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP), was honored with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (Honoris Causa) during a ceremony at Mainseed Christian University (MCU) this morning, Saturday. The prestigious recognition was awarded by the MCU Board of Trustees in acknowledgment of Barrow’s significant contributions to the fields of entertainment, political leadership, philanthropy, and service to Belize.
Barrow in a statement said he was delighted to receive the honor and eager to deliver the University’s Commencement Speech, encouraging the graduates to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in their communities.
Barrow is preparing for a return to music with a planned new album, “The Honorable Shyne,” and world tour as he steps away from politics with his term as UDP leader coming to an end in November.
