The students heard from incredible Belizean women breaking barriers in their fields including:
Abbie Chulin – Shrimp Hatchery Manager
Inspector Bernadine Sagasa – Police Department
Deputy Mayor Ileana Moreno & Councilor Sandra Lanza – San Ignacio & Santa Elena Town Council
Keila Valdez – Mechanic
Tracy Grant – Welder
Yeimi Argueta – Agronomist
Commander Pinelo & Lieutenant Tiffara Welch – Belize Coast Guard
This impactful initiative was led by Raquel Coyoc, alongside Katherine Mejia and the SGA Executive—turning vision into action despite challenges.
Mopan Tech said that the symposium’s objective was to urge students to:
Build boldly. Lead fearlessly. Support each other.
