By Horace Palacio: The National Meteorological Service has issued a morning forecast for today indicating relatively moist conditions throughout the day. Expect a mix of sunshine and cloudy spells with isolated showers or thunderstorms likely, particularly in inland areas this afternoon and over southern regions tonight.
Marine conditions remain calm, with light winds from the east-southeast at speeds of 5 to 15 knots, contributing to a slight sea state with waves ranging from 1 to 3 feet. Temperature readings are expected to reach highs of 90°F (32°C) along the coast and 95°F (35°C) inland, while the hills will be cooler at around 81°F (27°C).
The tropical weather outlook reveals some disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave east of the Lesser Antilles. While this system has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 48 hours, the National Meteorological Service is keeping a close watch as it progresses westward toward the Caribbean Sea. No other tropical cyclone formations are expected within the next two days.
As for the tides, high tides are expected at 8:04 AM and 9:21 PM today, with low tides at 3:23 PM today and 2:25 AM tomorrow. The sun rose at 5:38 AM and will set at 6:06 PM, while the moon will set at 4:52 PM today, followed by a moonrise at 4:24 AM.
