By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belizeans can expect another wet day as moist and unstable conditions continue to influence the country’s weather.
According to the National Meteorological Service, skies will remain mostly cloudy today with a few showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain developing across the country. Conditions are forecast to intensify overnight, particularly along coastal and southern areas.
At sea, winds will blow from the east at 5 to 15 knots, creating light choppy conditions with waves between 2 to 4 feet. Coastal temperatures are forecast at 85°F during the day, cooling to 76°F at night. Inland areas will reach highs of 87°F and lows of 72°F, while the hills will be cooler at 78°F by day and 67°F by night.
Forecasters are monitoring a tropical wave over the central tropical Atlantic. This system is producing widespread disorganized showers and thunderstorms. While there is a high chance of it developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours, the system currently poses no direct threat to Belize.
Looking ahead, Wednesday is expected to bring cloudy skies, showers, periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms across most areas.
