By Breaking Belize News Staff: Moist and unstable weather continues to influence conditions across the country today. The National Meteorological Service reports that skies will remain mostly cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms occurring around the country this morning. By this afternoon, activity is expected to become more isolated, before redeveloping later tonight, particularly over the south and coastal areas.
Winds will blow from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots, creating light chop to choppy seas with waves between 2 to 5 feet. Fisherfolk and small craft operators are advised to stay alert to changing weather conditions throughout the day.
Daytime high temperatures will reach 88°F (31°C) along the coast, 94°F (34°C) inland, and 81°F (27°C) in the hills. Tonight’s lows will range from 79°F (26°C) along the coast, 73°F (23°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills.
Looking ahead, a few showers or isolated thunderstorms are expected along the coast on Sunday morning, with additional activity over southern Belize by Sunday night. Otherwise, weather conditions will remain mostly isolated.
