By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Moist and unstable conditions continue to dominate Belize’s weather pattern, bringing cloudy spells with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the country, according to the latest forecast issued by the National Meteorological Service.
Forecaster Francisca Wellington says light and variable winds will prevail, keeping marine conditions calm with slight seas and waves between 1 and 3 feet. Fisherfolk and seafarers can expect favorable weather with minimal disturbance.
Daytime temperatures will remain warm, peaking at 94°F inland, 88°F along coastal areas, and 80°F in the hills. Overnight lows will be comfortable, dipping into the 70s inland and high 60s in the hills.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Jerry, located 110 miles north of the Northern Leeward Islands, continues to move northwest at 17 mph with sustained winds of 50 mph. The storm poses no immediate threat to Belize.
Looking ahead to Saturday, forecasters expect a continuation of showers and isolated thunderstorms countrywide, mainly during the night and early morning hours.
