Moist and unstable weather brings more showers to Belize

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize can expect a mixture of sunshine, cloudy spells and showers today as relatively moist and somewhat unstable conditions continue across the country.

The National Meteorological Service says a few showers or thunderstorms are expected around Belize during the day, with the southern districts seeing the greatest chance of activity.

Temperatures will remain hot despite the increased moisture. Inland areas will reach around 95 degrees Fahrenheit, while temperatures along the coast will peak near 89 degrees. The hills will see highs of around 84 degrees.

Tonight will become cloudy at times, with showers and thunderstorms expected to redevelop mainly over the Toledo District and along the southern coast.

Winds over the sea will blow from the east to northeast at 10 to 15 knots. Waves will range from one to four feet.

For Saturday, cloudy spells and a few showers or thunderstorms are possible over central and northern Belize. The activity is expected to shift toward the south on Saturday night.

Forecasters say tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
