By Aaron Humes: 70-year-old Catalina Sho has been found alive after nearly 48 hours of extensive searching, according to LOVE FM.
Around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, a dedicated team comprising villagers, relatives, and the village alcalde located Sho approximately 1.5 miles from her home along the riverbanks. Although she was severely dehydrated, she was alive and responsive. She was quickly transported to Punta Gorda Community Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
Catalina Sho had been missing since Thursday night, raising alarm among family and neighbors. Her disappearance coincided with the discovery of her husband, 73-year-old Innocencio Sho, found dead in a shed on their property. Police have since classified his death as a suspected suicide.
The circumstances surrounding both incidents remain under investigation by police. With Catalina now found, investigators plan to conduct a thorough interview with her to gather crucial details regarding her disappearance and her husband’s passing.
Residents of Blue Creek Village expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts that led to the successful search.
