By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating an armed robbery of Good Fortune Shop on Blue Marlin Drive, Belize City on Monday afternoon.
According to police, the store owner reported that while she was at the cashier desk she saw 2 dark-skinned men, one wearing a yellow shirt, red helmet and blue jeans pants and the other male person wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, orange construction vest, blue jeans pants and a blue helmet entering the shop. The male person wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, orange construction vest, blue jeans pants and a blue helmet approached the counter, pointed a silver firearm at her and demanded money, saying, “Don’t move.”
He proceeded to jump the counter, open the cash register and take an undisclosed amount of cash and place it on a black bag. Both male persons exited the shop and escaped on a motorcycle on Blue Marlin Drive to the direction of Cotton Wick Avenue.
