By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Climate Change is urging Belizeans to report all wildfires.

You are urged to report any unattended wildfires fires to your nearest Forest Department Office and unauthorized agricultural fires to the Agriculture Department in your area.
“Belizeans – use fires wisely!!! Protect life, health, and property and those of others. Protect our forests, our wildlife, our air, and water; Protect our environment. Be fire-wise,” the Ministry said.
Here are a few facts on what you should know when dealing with fire.
