By Zoila Palma: Over the weekend, Minister of Sustainable Development Orlando Habet and CEO Milagro Matus engaged with the team at Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD) at Las Cuevas Research Station.
Discussions included FCD’s diverse conservation programs and ongoing initiatives.
Minister Habet and CEO Matus were happy by the depth and impact of the work being carried out to protect Belize’s rich biodiversity and natural resources.
“The dedication demonstrated by FCD continues to strengthen national efforts in sustainable environmental management,” the Ministry said.
Non-governmental organizations across Belize play a critical role in supporting the Government of Belize in safeguarding our natural heritage.
“Through collaboration and shared commitment, we can ensure that our forests, wildlife, and ecosystems are preserved for present and future generations,” the Ministry added.
