By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Rural Transformation’s Geo-Resistivity Team recently conducted essential subsurface water exploration surveys in the Toledo District as a critical step before any borehole drilling.
The Ministry noted that this preliminary investigation measures the electrical resistance beneath the surface, a process where different subsurface materials register varying resistance.
By analyzing this vital data, our technical team accurately pinpoints the presence and depth of potential groundwater sources, enabling us to make informed decisions about site viability.
“This proactive, science-driven approach strategically targets drilling efforts, maximizing the success rate of new boreholes and ensuring the efficient and sustainable development of water resources,” the Ministry noted.
