By Zoila Palma: The rig crews from the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development and Local Government continue to work tirelessly throughout the week to bring safe and reliable water to rural communities.
On July 13, 2026, the teams worked in Santana Village where they successfully airlifted and super-chlorinated a key production well supplying villages along the Old Northern Highway.
The crews also worked in Jalacte Village drilling a production well for a community currently without a Rudimentary Water System.
The Rig Team 2 also successfully drilled a well to support the Belize Marine Rescue and Education Center.
“Through it all, the Ministry continues working tirelessly to ensure all residents have access to safe and reliable water,” the Ministry said.
