By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government in partnership with the Taiwan Technical Mission recently launched a Women’s Economic Empowerment Programme.
This initiative commenced in June and is dedicated to equipping young girls and women with entrepreneurial and marketable skills tailored to their needs and preferences.
“We are proud to highlight the progress of the young girls and women from Pueblo Viejo, Toledo, who are now engaged in their training in both traditional and nontraditional sewing. Their dedication and creativity are a testament to the potential that lies within our rural communities,” the Ministry said.
The Ministry also shared photos of the progress of young girls and women from San Pablo, Orange Walk.
“In a short period, they have demonstrated remarkable talent and the ability to produce work of quality. Their dedication and creativity are a testament to the potential that lies within our rural communities,” the Ministry expressed.
