By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government, in collaboration with consultants from ClioDinamica, hosted a community dialogue and working session in Belize City to present the initial draft of Belize’s first National Rural Development Strategy (NRDS).
During the session, consultants from ClioDinamica shared key findings from their initial visits to rural communities across the country.
Stakeholders from various sectors participated in interactive discussions and activities, providing valuable feedback and recommendations to refine the proposed strategy.
The NRDS aims to serve as a comprehensive framework to guide future investments and interventions focused on improving the quality of life in rural areas.
It seeks to promote sustainable development, enhance infrastructure, and strengthen economic and social opportunities for Belize’s rural populations.
