By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Rural Transformation joined in celebrating World Water Day 2026 today.
World Water day is being celebrated under the theme, “Where water flows, equality grows”.
Students from several schools visited the Ministry of Rural Transformation’s booth during the official World Water Day Ceremony at the San Ignacio Hotel.
“We were delighted to engage them in interactive activities focused on the work of the Ministry, climate change, and water conservation. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire the next generation of stewards and reinforce the importance of sustainable water security for all in Belize,” the Ministry said.
World Water Day 2026 highlights the importance of freshwater and the sustainable management of water resources.
