Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing urges public to protect road infrastructure

By Zoila Palma:  The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) is urging motorists and companies to take greater care around newly improved roads after fresh hotmix near the Boom Junction on the Philip Goldson Highway was damaged by a trailer.

The Ministry said the damage occurred shortly after the hotmix was laid, expressing frustration over the incident. “These are the things that really spoil your day,” MIDH said in a Facebook post.

MIDH reminded the public that road infrastructure is intended to benefit everyone and called on motorists to help preserve the country’s road improvements.

“We need to protect our infrastructure because it is there to serve all of us, and all of us pay for it,” the Ministry said.
